Risk Management & Loss Control Services

The County Mutual’s loss control and risk management services are geared towards being responsive to our members’ needs, the exposure they face, and trending their losses. Working in a dedicated fashion, our risk management consultants partner with our members to identify training and program development needs and proactively create a risk and safety-aware culture amongst your staff. In addition to providing risk management and loss control program support through our dedicated consultants, the County Mutual also features numerous partnerships, tools, and equipment aimed at adding value.

Onsite Training
The County Mutual’s risk management staff makes over 500 onsite risk management and loss control visits a year – at no additional cost to our members. Training includes a wide variety of topics – from sexual harassment prevention to safe lifting practices – we’re dedicated to meeting your training needs.

In addition to county-specific onsite training, our team of consultants organizes numerous regional/statewide training efforts, including our annual Highway Safety Days, excavation and trenching, and chainsaw safety.

Cyber-Resilience & Education Coordination Services (C-RECS) Program
The County Mutual developed our C-RECS Program to assist our members in their efforts to create a stronger cybersecurity program and risk-aware culture at all levels of their organization. Through risk assessment tools, employee training, and other resources, we work in concert with our member to protect their data and critical systems.

Advanced Law Enforcement Risk Training (ALERT) Program
The ALERT Program provides training on key law enforcement issues, including the Fourth Amendment, vehicle operations, jail operations, and communications. In addition, the County Mutual owns several state-of-the-art firearms training systems, including the MILO Range Pro. Used by the FBI and law enforcement nationwide, the MILO brings scenario-based and lifelike training to law enforcement personnel. The ALERT Program is available at no additional cost to members.
